Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Swipe, operated by Suharsh. By creating an account you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Swipe.

1. You must be 18 or older

Swipe is strictly for adults. You must be at least 18 to create an account, and you confirm the date of birth you enter is accurate. Accounts we believe belong to someone under 18 are removed immediately and permanently.

2. Your account

• Provide accurate information, and keep it up to date.
• Use your own photos. Don't impersonate anyone else or use images you don't have the right to use.
• One account per person.
• You're responsible for activity on your account.

3. Content that is not allowed

Swipe does not permit the following, anywhere in the app — in profile photos, bios, or messages:

• Nudity or sexually explicit content. This includes nude or partially nude images, sexual acts, and sexually explicit text.
• Unsolicited sexual content.Sending explicit material to someone who hasn't asked for it is grounds for immediate removal.
• Harassment, threats, bullying, or hate speech.
• Content involving minors in any sexual or suggestive context. We report this to the relevant authorities.
• Violence, self-harm content, or illegal activity.
• Solicitation, sex work, or commercial sexual services.
• Spam, scams, phishing, or requests for money.
• Impersonating another person, brand, or organisation — including fake or catfish profiles.
• Content that infringes someone else's rights.

4. Reporting and enforcement

Every profile and conversation has report and block options. You can block someone at any time, and they will not be told.

We review reports and may remove content, suspend an account, or ban it permanently. Accounts that accumulate multiple reports are flagged automatically for review, and may be suspended automatically while we investigate. We may act without prior notice where the content is severe.

5. Your safety

Swipe does not conduct criminal background checks on its users. We verify that an account belongs to a real, present person using a camera check, but that is not a guarantee of anyone's identity, intentions, or conduct.

Take normal precautions: meet in public, tell someone where you're going, and don't send money to anyone you meet here. See the Safety Centre in the app for more.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of the photos and text you post. By posting them, you give us permission to host and display them within Swipe so the app can work — showing your profile to other users, for example. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except where we're required to retain something for safety or legal reasons.

7. Automated features

Swipe offers optional AI-generated reply suggestions in chat. When you request a suggestion, recent messages from that conversation are sent to our AI provider to generate it. See our Privacy Policy for detail.

8. Cost

Swipe is currently free to use. If we introduce paid features in future, the price and terms will be shown clearly before you pay, and paying will always be optional.

9. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from Settings, or via our account deletion page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.

10. No warranty

Swipe is provided "as is". We don't guarantee that you'll find a match, that the service will be uninterrupted, or that it will be free of errors.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. If we make a material change we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use Swipe after a change means you accept it.
